Wingspan 4.0 to 5.5 cm, 1.57 to 2.17 inch.

The Small White is a fairly small butterfly, common and widespread throughout the country. The Small White, along with the Large White, can claim the title of the "Cabbage White" that is the bane of vegetable gardeners. It has brilliant white wings with small black tips to the forewings and one or two wing spots; the undersides are a creamy white. It has less black on its wingtips than the Large White and can be found in a wide variety of habitats.
