Home Page Hannafore to Talland Bay

A lovely walk from Hannafore (West Looe) to Talland Bay along the south-west coast path taking in Samphire beach, Old Mills Cove, the National Trust properties at Portnadler Bay and Hendersick, Hore Point and with great views of St George’s (also known as Looe Island). You can also visit the remains of the medieval chapel of St. Michael, Lammana built in the 12th century which was part of one of the “digs” in Channel 4's Time Team programme in 2008. From Hore Point there are spectacular views across Whitsand Bay to Rame Head. Working with the local farmers, the National Trust has restored the natural grassland here which has been free of fertilisers and herbicides since 1995. This has led to a rich variety of both flora and fauna, a great place to explore and observe.
