Venford is a pretty lake lying near the Dart Valley Nature Reserve on Holne Moor. It was built in 1907 to provide an enhanced water supply for Paignton. The lake is surrounded by a few trees and there is an easy walk around the water's edge. Its position near the Dart Valley, Bench Tor, Combestone Tor and the open moor land of Holne Moor makes it a good starting point for many walks.
